Sure, no problem! With Archer, just think of him as being cocky and sure of himself. Confident, very high self-esteem, and very self-serving. To me, that's his one key difference with his brothers: both Guy and Robin have loyalties to others. Archer is only loyal to himself at first - he'd even turn against his own family if it suited his needs. Just when you think he's on your side, he's not. ;)
With ships, I tend to follow my muse more than anything. The only ship I'm really intensely loyal to is Guy/Kate (my beloved crackship.) I started out shipping Guy/Marian (normally, I ship Robin/Marian, too, but this version of the tale really complicated things;) but I've slipped more into Guy/Meg as of late. I've written Will/Djaq before, along with Robin/Isabella; Guy/Robin (had Much ship them;) hinted at Guy/PJ, Guy/Allan, Guy/Vasey, Robin/King Richard and Isabella/Meg; Little John/Eleanor; Allan/Everyone, but especially with Kate, and if I get an idea, I might do some Robs/Maz one day (basically, I'll write any pairing as long as it's not incest.) Lately, I've had an idea for a more serious fic involving Guy and Djaq (friendship, not romance, though.) I just... like to explore new things with the characters. That's what's fun for me. Anything goes, as you say. :)
